The center staff is highly skilled and qualified in the early childhood field. The head teachers are required to have a 4-year degree in Child Development or education-related field or comparable Associates Degree in Child Development with approval from OHCPCC Personnel Committee. Head teachers will also have had at least 1-year positive preschool teaching experience, preferable here at Orchard Hill Preschool.
Teacher Assistants are staff that are still in the process of completing their degrees or have acceptable prior experience with children. The center also makes use of area college students that are pursuing degrees in the early childhood field to work with our school age and afternoon programs.
We are proud to be able to retain many of our full time staff people from year to year which helps to maintain the continuity of relationships between the staff and children.
